A famous potter who learned teapot making from Gu Jingzhou in the early 1950s. A talented young man, he was hard working and deligent. He followed Gu to other regions of the world to promote the Yixing ware.
At a young age, he was was put in-charge of teapot designs in the factory. He put in a lot of effort in his work. As a result, he fell sick and collapsed. Yet he refused to seek medical treatment. Eventually he passes away at the peak of his carrer.
His wife, Zhou Kuizhen, continued his work to promote the Zisha culture. She is also a very famous potter in Yixing and her teapots are highly sought after by collectors.
