Classic pot
I have another teapot which is a classic design. This is because the shape was created by a Ming dynasty potter, Shi Dabin. You may be able to see this teapot as it is on display in a museum in Hong Kong.
This teapot has a ball-filter to decant tea into cups for drinking. All ball-filter teapots are made for export market, especially to Japan where the Japanese have a stringent requirement. Nowadays, you don't see this type of teapots in the market anymore. As such these pots have historical background.
